Who we are:

The Hot Tub Superstore is the UK's largest and most successful hot tub company. We are a family business established in 2004, with thousands of hot tubs delivered and installed throughout the UK. As an independent company, we import direct from multiple quality American manufacturers and sell direct to customers nationwide; we cut out the middleman and save you thousands.

Where we came from:

In 2004, Father & Son, Dennis & Daniel Holmes, imported 5 hot tubs following an unsuccessful attempt to buy a spa for their own homes. They were simply too expensive in the UK and twice the price of their US counterparts. The initial order of 5 hot tubs included 3 additional spas to sell on eBay — the profit earned would pay for their spas. Immediately, a new and potential market appeared, and within the year 86 hot tubs were imported and sold on eBay. Operational headquarters at this time was a 1000sqft unit in Blackpool, but the future was bright. Within 18 months, Ross Phillipson, Dennis’ Son-in-law, joined the Holmes’ bringing sales support and collectively the trio began to accelerate the business. Seeing the scope of the business, they purchased a brand new 6000sqft premises — now expanded to over 30,000sqft — and continued to build a dedicated hot tub facility incorporating retail sales, storage, parts and logistics. Damien Holmes, Daniel’s cousin, joined the team bringing extensive technical expertise, and this became the early framework of the current management team.

It’s simple. We import from world class American hot tub manufacturers and sell direct to the customer. Large volume and a chain free approach fuel unrivalled value; you cannot buy a better spa for less. Anywhere. Our other primary focus is customer service. We are passionate about treating our customers as we would like to be treated. This starts with excellent communication, fairness and transparency.

Bishta is the official hot tub association in the UK and exists to promote high standards of safety, enjoyment and value. The Hot Tub Superstore has been a proud member of Bishta for 10 years. We consider Bishta membership a standard that every hot tub company should adhere too.

The following is the Bishta code of ethics direct from the Bishta website. This code of ethics is basically the rule book all Bishta members must comply with in order to gain and keep Bista membership.

  1. At no time, knowingly or wittingly to do any act that could reasonably be construed as bringing the Member Company into disrepute and consequently the Industry generally and the Association in particular.

  2. At all times to trade ethically both with the public generally and the Industry in particular.

  3. At all times to comply with the Association’s Standards for Self-Contained (Portable) Spas and for Hot Tubs, and to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Association.

  4. At all times to comply with the procedures and instructions issued by the Association for the treatment of Spa and Hot Tub water in the interest of the safety of the public.

  5. To comply in all respects with the Trades Descriptions Act, 1968, Supply of Goods (Implied Terms) Act, 1973, the Sale of Goods Act, 1979 and any other subsequent acts or regulations amending or replacing the same so far as goods supplied by the Members are concerned.

  6. To advertise and market so that the nature and extent of the products and services advertised and offered by the Company is fully understood by the prospective client. At all times to comply with the requirements of the Advertising Standards Authority.

  7. Where a self-contained (portable) Spa or Hot Tub is supplied either direct to a Member of the Public or to a Spa Retailer there shall be supplied sufficient instructions and information generally as to the proper operation and maintenance of that Spa or Hot Tub. In particular, handover certificates and other relevant documentation prescribed by the Association shall accompany the product during each transaction.

  8. Not to derogate in any way a competitor’s product or services.

  9. To use one’s best endeavours to fulfil all contractual obligations.

  10. To offer a clear and reasonable warranty of products and services and to perform on such warranties where justifiable claims are made within a suitable time period.

We are the definitive family firm, organically growing over the last decade. We ran out of family members reasonably early(!) though we’ve typically recruited through family and friends ever since. This close knit approach in no way diminishes the calibre of our team: capable and dynamic individuals working together with passion.

The Management Team

Daniel Holmes - Managing Director

Daniel started the business alongside his Father, Dennis over a decade ago. Dan primarily oversees the running of the business and the ordering process — ensuring hot tubs are shipped from the USA ontime, and the warehouse remains full of stock. Dan's a family man with a passion for perfection — and a drive to operate the best hot tub business in the market!

Dennis Holmes - Finance Director

Dennis co-owns The Hot Tub Superstore alongside his Son, Daniel. Dennis has been involved in the pool business from his early days in Florida in the 1980's. Den's a numbers man who uses his extensive experience to keep the business running efficiently.

Ross Phillipson - Sales Director

Ross joined Dennis & Daniel, his Father & brother-in-law, early in the Superstore's evolution. Ross oversees sales and commercial operations and running the business. He also likes to do the odd product video! A family man, ex-Royal Marine and dog lover :)

Damien Holmes - Technical Director

'Damo' is self-confessed gadget man who combines his love of all things practical with a natural flair for problem solving in his role as technical director. If Damo doesn't know it (and it relates to hot tubs).....it isn't worth knowing. Damo's also a family man.....in fact his wife Rachel works in the sales team.

Mathew England - Web Design & Online Marketing

It's often said there is a fine line between genius and madness.....and Matt is a case in point! Matt runs the website and IT department — and uses his considerable talents to keep us sharp at the front line of the business.

Sales and Marketing

Laurence Scott - Sales Executive

Laurence forms a crucial part of the Superstore’s sales team — he’s always on hand to offer advice and answer any questions you may have. Laurence is a people person and self-confessed ‘king of Trivia — with a wealth of completely useless information! :)

Darren Holden - Sales Executive

The sales team benefits from Darren’s extensive experience with hot tubs. He knows our products inside-out and loves to help customers find the best spa for them. Darren is also very technically-minded and relishes a problem to solve — so difficult installs are a pleasure! Darren is a proud family man and rugby player.

Rachel Holmes - Sales Executive

Rachel has gathered considerable knowledge of hot tubs over the years……not least because she’s married to our technical director, Damien, who talks about nothing else! Rach is a people person who loves to help. Just like Jaymie, Rach shows her professionalism, balancing a busy office and motherhood……and she looks after Damien!

Jaymie Brook - Sales Executive

Jaymie brings her super-friendly attitude to work every day and loves to help those looking for a new spa. She uses her natural multi-tasking skills to balance a busy sales office and being a mum to two little ones at home.

Brodie Blackburn - Showroom Manager / Sales

Brodie always welcomes visitors to the Superstore with a big, infectious smile in his role as showroom manager and sales advisor. Born and raised in Florida, Brodie is an ‘all-American boy’ with lots of knowledge and super-friendly personality. He spends his spare time looking after his young family.

Chemical Shop

Carlie McGinley - Chemical Shop Manager

Carlie is Daniel’s daughter and runs the online shop. She ensures everyone receives their chemicals and filter orders on time.

Technical Department

Greg Wilkinson - Technical Support

Greg is the hinge pin of the technical team and always on hand should you have an issue with your spa. He’s an affable chap who always wants to go the extra mile for our customers! Greg is also our in-house expert print technician.

Matt Whittaker - Technical Support

Matt spent several years in the installation department and brings his in-depth experience to the technical office. He uses his natural rapport with customers to resolve issues, as and when they arise.

Logistics and Delivery

Jerry Kenway - Logistics & Operations

Jerry oversees deliveries, logistics and parts meaning he’s a very busy man! The definitive master of all trades, Jerry is a good man to know and keeps the ‘back of house’ running like clockwork. In rare moments away from work, Jerry loves a spot of fishing.

Simon Beattie - Installations Manager

Simon works alongside Jerry in the (very) busy logistics department. Simon manages the installation teams and ensures that all spas get to customers on time and without hiccup. Simon’s a family man whose partner, Jaymie, works in sales — so he’s always on hand to offer some technical advice!

Jason Munday - Installations & Logistics

Jay works alongside Jerry & Simon in logistics. An electrician by trade, Jay brings expert knowledge to the role and with many year’s installation experience, he’s a true all-rounder. Some say he looks a little like Ross, so be careful not to confuse the two……

Darren Bootham - Logistics

Darren runs the warranty department and takes a key role in service support. Darren started with the Superstore in the installation department, experience he uses in his current, day to day role. Nothing is too much trouble for Darren, he just loves to help!
