Full Foam Insulation
Better insulation means low energy costs. We use Icynene foam technology that has dramatically raised the standard over urethane foam insulation systems used by almost all U.S. spa manufacturers. Icynene is polyicynene expanding foam insulation that is environmentally safe. It allows foam to be sprayed without ozone-destroying gases and without gas emission hazards.
High Quality Insulation
The Icynene Insulation System expands to 100 times its initial volume in seconds to insulate and air-seal the spa. The resulting blanket of soft foam insulation forms a continuous thermal barrier that eliminates cold spots and significantly reduces energy costs.
A consistent, comfortable temperature is maintained inside the spa, while cold air is kept outside, and condensation, mould and mildew prevented. Unlike urethane foam-based systems, which lose half their value in as little as two years, Icynene maintains its insulation value for the life of your Master Spa.
Many people understandably ask: how much will a Master Spa hot tub cost to run?
This question is near impossible to answer with any degree of accuracy as it depends entirely on a series of factors, not least:
- The cost of your domestic electric
- Water temperature and ambient temperature
- Wind speed and will-chill factor
- Frequency and duration of use
What we can tell you is Master Spas manufacture some of the most thermally-efficient hot tubs in the world. In addition, they are thermally tested to pass, or exceed, the standards set by the CEC – Californian Energy Commission with publicly available results.
These results give energy use, on standby, in controlled conditions, from which you can calculate anticipated costs.
Visit the CEC website to find the energy use of your Master Spas model
https://cacertappliances.energy.ca.gov/Pages/ApplianceSearch.aspx Simply select the manufacturer and then select the model you wish. Note: Currently some models are still waiting for certification – this is simply because they are newer than others – they share the same build and efficiency so if you want to get an idea, simply pick a similarly sized model with a similar water volume.
The costs indicated on the Energy Calculator are calculated based on the industry’s only certified test procedure for determining energy costs. Actual owner monthly costs will vary on a wide variety of circumstances.
Values have been calculated based on standard test procedure for Portable Electric Spas as stipulated in ANSI/APSP/ICC-14 2014
- Tested at 60°F ambient temperature.
- 102°F water temperature.
- Master Spas cover used and not opened during testing.
- Pumps came on during automatic cycles only for heating and filtering. They were not turned on manually.
- Test conducted in a 3rd party approved environmental chamber certified to the ANSI/APSP/ICC-14 2014 standard.
Actual Monthly Cost of Running a hot tub or swim spa will vary from these totals and is totally dependent upon:
- Local energy cost.
- Local ambient temperature.
- Set water temperature.
- Use of hot tub or swim spa.
- Type and condition of cover.
- Filter cycle settings.
Internal footwell LED lighting, individual LED points of lights, LED lit drinks holders, LED lit dual waterfalls. LED lights have fixed and mood functions with up to eight colour sequences.
Dream lighting – Cabinet fixed, vertical corner lighting.
Pumps, Jets & Filtration
1 x 2-speed High Performance 10.3amp 50hz pump
2 x 1 speed High Performance pump
All seals are carbon ceramic with Viton® elastomers for long-lasting performance, easily enduring prolonged heat and chemical exposure. A unique design impeller provides higher efficiency flow with a smaller horsepower motor than other pumps in the same class; high flow rates can exceed 210 gallons per minute. Sanitisation and heating can occur while maintaining lower running costs. Whisper quiet operation assures a peaceful spa experience.
1 x QuietFlow™ 24-hour circulation pump
The QuietFlow™ Water Care System utilises a hot tub circulation pump to maximise efficiency in spa heating and filtration. The circulation pump moves water at 30 gallons per minute through the Smartpod™ filtering the water when the spa is not in use. By keeping the water moving at present intervals, the circulation pump ensures hot tub water remains filtered and heated evenly.
In addition to improving water filtration, maintaining a slightly elevated water temperature allows the spa to heat up more quickly, ensuring it’s ready when you are. Without the circulation pump, the water would be still, which results in increased demands for spa chemicals and additional time to heat the water to the desired temperature prior to use.
34 x Orbit 2.2” , 6 x Orbit 3.6” , 4 x Orbit 3.6” twin , 5 x Orbit 3.6” rifle , 6 x Orbit 5.3” , 6 x Orbit 5.3” twin , 5 x 5.3” rifled , 4 x Orbit 5.3” whirlpool and 2 x Orbit fixed mast massage.
5 x Air controls
Air controls are located on the top edge of the hot tub shell. Once rotated and turned on they allow water flowing through the jets to suck air, adding extra fizz and bubbles.
1 x Fountain control
3 x Water diverter
3 x LED lit water features
4 x back lit LED spa pillows
Twin filter system with Mast3rPur and EcoPur Charge water purification.
The cutting-edge Mast3rPur Water Management System utilises three hot tub sanitisation methods—Ozone, UV-C light and a combination of copper and zinc produced by EcoPur® Charge filtration—to create a more effective hot tub sanitation solution than any other system on the market. The combination of these three natural sanitisers supports overall water quality and reduces the amount of harsh chemicals needed to maintain optimal water balance.
Through the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP), Mast3Pur quickly rids water of contaminants, chloramines and microorganisms with help from each of the three natural sanitation methods. AOP produces powerful hydroxyl radicals that maximise disinfection and reduce chloramines; producing clean, clear, sanitised hot tub water.
The EcoPur Charge hot tub water purification and filtration system is Master Spas’ newest advancement in clean water technology. This revolutionary hot tub filter is engineered to work alone, or in concert, with both the Mast3rPur™ and Quietflow™systems.
The EcoPur Charge hot tub filter replicates the way nature uses copper and zinc to purify water and remove dirt, bacteria and algae. Its innovative filter design builds upon previous Master Spas hot tub filters, and utilizes Master Spas’ patented filtration fabric.
The hot tub filter fabric is wound tightly into a nautilus cell and is encased by a spring core that allows for maximum water flow. As the water flows through this master core, it is charged by low levels of copper and zinc oxides; these natural elements are safe for your hot tub and create a more efficient way to maintain clear, clean water. By filtering water the same way Mother Nature does, this technology reduces water-soluble heavy metals and, in the process, decreases the amount of harsh chemicals needed to purify the spa water. EcoPur® Charge also controls scale, bacteria and algae, safeguards the hot tub’s plumbing and helps prevent damage to swimwear.
Cabinet & Cover
Maintenance Free, composite cabinet available in graphite or Espresso brown. The rugged, attractive cabinet is designed for life with protection from the sun and temperature fluctuations. Aesthetically, the composite cabinet features wide, horizontal lines to capture the style of contemporary domestic flooring.
Lucite™ shell & self-supporting ABS base.
Waterproof, intuitive touchscreen control panel with full control over the spa’s functions.
Poor water chemistry is damaging to heater elements, additionally tap water can have high salt, lime and calcium which can cause steel heater elements to fail. A titanium heater provides a superior defence against poor water conditions.
