How do hot tubs work

Maybe you’ve already purchased your hot tub and been enjoying it for a while or maybe you’ve just decided to start looking, either way owning a hot tub is a great way to bring some luxury into your life. Hot tubs look great and they certainly provide relaxation, but how do they work?

There are many elements that work together to make hot tubs work to the best of their ability. Maintenance and care are important for the durability of your luxury hot tub but don’t worry, caring for your tub doesn’t need to be hard work.

Installation

Following the successful installation of your new hot tub, set up is required. A team of installation professionals will be there to sort all of the technical aspects involved with placing and wiring up your hot tub. Find out how to prepare for a hot tub delivery.

Spa controls

Your hot tub will include a panel or remote so that you can easily control aspects of your hot tub. This can include temperature, jets and more. All hot tub control panels are waterproof, so you don’t need to worry about altering your settings from inside your tub.

Hydrotherapy jets and pumps

Hot tub jets work by drawing air in with a suction motion, leading to bubbles, which are used to provide relaxation and can alleviate aches and pains. Hot tub pumps help to keep your water clean. Quiet Flow™ technology means that you don’t need to worry about being able to hear the pumps when you’re trying to relax, you won’t even notice they are there.

Insulation

Insulation is a very important part of a hot tub and it also helps to keep your energy costs down. The insulation forms a barrier to protect against any cold spots inside of a hot tub. Icynene insulation is ideal due to its consistency and long lasting nature.

Cabinet

Each hot tub has a cabinet. The cabinet protects your hot tub from different weather conditions and sunlight. A high quality cover can be used to protect the interior of your hot tub. You should frequently check the cover for cuts and rips to ensure that your hot tub has maximum protection.

Filter

Good quality hot tub filters are what keeps your hot tub water clean and free from debris. In addition to this, filters help to improve water circulation which means that you can have a consistent water temperature throughout your hot tub. Filters should be cleaned every 2 weeks if you are using your hot tub regularly and changed at least once a year.

Energy efficiency

Hot tubs use less energy when they are left turned on, rather than frequently being turned on and off. Leaving your hot tub turned on means that less energy is required to heat the water up as it remains heated even when you’re not using it. Take a look at the estimated hot tub running costs for your selected model.

When purchasing a luxury hot tub, it is important to conduct research to ensure that you are choosing the right tub for your needs.
