The basics of owning a hot tub

Owning a hot tub is one of life’s luxuries, but finding the perfect tub and knowing how to care for it can be hard at the beginning. The first step of purchasing a hot tub is to make sure that you’ve conducted lots of research and know what you want from it in terms of seats, loungers and any additional features that you’d like. After you’ve done your research, you’ll probably have a few questions you’d like answering before you make any decisions. In this blog, we’re hoping to answer all these questions about the basics of owning a hot tub.

Which hot tubs are the best?

This is a very common question that we get asked and to be honest, that completely depends on the features that you want from your hot tub. That’s why we recommend doing a lot of research prior to purchasing your tub. We work with the world’s number 1 hot tub and swim spa manufacturer, Master Spas™, who provide top quality in all aspects of their tubs. A highly recognised brand is an important part of buying a hot tub, you can be sure that they are reliable and you know that your tub will last. Still not sure which hot tub to buy? We can help!

How much do hot tubs weigh?

How often should you change your hot tub water?

Changing your hot tub water might sound like a time-consuming job, but it doesn’t need to be. We recommend that you change the water in your hot tub every 3 months to ensure that it is clean and safe for use. In between emptying your tub, you should ensure that you are wiping the shell and the water line in your hot tub, you can do this using a simple cloth and some hot tub cleaning products, which are available on our website. As well as cleaning some areas of your hot tub regularly, you should test the water occasionally to check that all of the chemicals are in balance. Chemicals help to keep your water safe for all to use. Find out how to prepare your hot tub for summer.
